Managing DBLX Users

Users of DBLX must be given an account to access the database.
When DBLX is used the first time there is one User account setup for database administration:

      User Name: dbAdmin       Password: changeMe00

The first time DBLX is setup it is recommended that the dbAdmin password be changed.
To add a new User account, the dbAdmin should use the CREATE USER syntax:

CREATE USER bob KEY = 'passValue'

The User name must be no longer than 20 characters and consist of the letters a-z, A-Z, and the numbers 0-9. Spaces are not allowed in User names.
It is necessary to provide the KEY value in single-quotes. This also means that spaces are allowed in password values.

To change the password in an existing User account, the dbAdmin should use the ALTER USER syntax:

ALTER USER bob OLDKEY = 'oldPassValue' KEY = 'newPassValue'

It is necessary to provide the OLDKEY and KEY values in single-quotes. This also means that spaces are allowed in password values.
Spaces are not allowed in User names.

To delete an existing User account, the dbAdmin should use the DROP USER syntax:

DROP USER bob

Note that only dbAdmin can drop a user account.
